I don’t want to jinx myself here, but I should probably ” touch wood” - still unbeaten
Yes guys we are at the end of week 9, and I wanted to report that I am still unbeaten, in my Fantasy league. Tonight its the Bears V Eagles and neither my opponent or I have anyone playing in that game. So the final score is indeed
(155-104). It got a little close at one stage of the day, but in the end I pulled though and beat him by 50 points.
My stud, Matthew Stafford, was on a Bye. So all week I was up and down in my decision who to start as QB. Those of you that have been reading my weekly fantasy blog know that my back up QB is Josh Freeman. Yeh, not too exciting huh? He really hasn’t done anything all year – that’s a worry. I feel that your QB should get you at least 18 points, on a good day – anything mid teens is a little week and that is what Freeman has been doing. Who was available? Well in the end I was tossed between 3. Freeman, Sanchez and the mighty Tim Tebow or Teblow, however you want to look at it…. Decision was made late sunday morning, I decided to roll with Freeman. I thought, well he is coming off a BYE and he will be fired up, especially after the loss in London.- yeh I was wrong, he did exactly what I knew he would do. 17 points later. I mean, yeh its fine…but when you are used to 25+ points from Stafford, you cannot say im not greedy.
Running backs, I rolled with Jackson, Foster and Turner – decided to bench Gore this week, I felt that Turner had a better match up against the Colts (duh) Turner got 14 points, and Gore sat on my bench with 14 also, so I was pleased with that decision. Not to a surprise Arian ended up getting me a TD and a whole bunch of yards, thanks for the 28 points mate. Fred Jackson had a bit more of a tough match up on his hands this week, he has been a beast all season long. Jackson was up against The Jets and of course Revis Island. 14 points was all he could squeeze out for me. – ill take that, atta boy!
Wide receivers, as you guys know, my boy is Marques Colston, and I have my stud Wes Welker, ill get to him in a bit – but first Marques had a poor game – last time he played Tampa Bay, he up 27 points, and that is beastly for a WR. That wasnt the case this week at all. Brees seem to have got shut down a lot, and when he did throw it, he was looking for Jimmy Graham or even Lance Moore. Not a good day for the number 12, he ended up with 10 points. Wes, you are a beast!!! Tom Brady wasnt having the best of games last night, I think he threw two picks? – did you guys watch it?, good game. However, when the star QB isnt performing, that’s a worry for the WR. Brady eventually found his rhythm and Wes ended up with a ton of yards – 26 points later. Remember guys I have Dwayne Bowe and Mario Mannigham. I benched both of these guys yesterday. Bowe did well, and Eli was looking to Mario a lot. See this is the situation im in, I always play 3 RB because I have such strength there, we means I can only play 2 WR. Well, it always has to be Welker and Colston. – you guys have any suggestions?
The Gronk, big, tough – quality TE. Would I like Jason Witten, like I had last year – sure, he is the number 1 TE. Cowboys are not really doing anything. The Gronk is getting yards. Brady likes him in the red zone, he is perfect. 27 points later… ill take that. – Speaking of the Cowboys, they are my D/ST, 9 points. – with Mason Crosby kicking for 10 points also.
So still….. UNBEATEN. 9-0
Can anyone stop me?…… catch me if you can!
Let me know how you all did?…
