Football fans across the country, across the world were united on saturday hearing the news that, Bolton’s Fabrice Muamba had suddenly collapsed on the pitch. It was a cup tie between Spurs and Wanderers at White Hart Lane.
The scenes and pictures on TV were very moving and heartfelt. Players from both sides were in complete shock. This was no normal injury. Muamba needed serious treatment from the medical staff. Players were offering support to each other, a lot in tears. After over 15 mins trying to resuscitate him, he was carried off the pitch into an ambulance and taken to Hospital.
We are a few days on from the incidence. Reports from a London hospital are that, Fabrice has suffered a Cardiac arrest. He was in critical condition but showing very small signs of improvement. Muamba can slighty move his arms and his heart is now functioning without the need for medication.
Football is United. Games have been cancelled for Bolton today and the weekend. Such a young age and great talent.
We hope he makes a speedy recovery, Such a shock. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
